Passion (re-released as Passion: Music for The Last Temptation of Christ) is an album released in 1989 by the English singer-songwriter Peter Gabriel. It was the first Peter Gabriel album to be released on Real World Records, Gabriel's second soundtrack, and his eighth album overall.

This album is my work; the other, Passion Sources, represent a selection of some of the traditional music, sources of inspiration and location recordings. I was excited to be asked to work on the music.

Peter Gabriel's album Passion contains music that he composed for Martin Scorcese's 1988 movie The Last Temptation of Christ. However, the project expanded past the soundtrack and evolved to become a landmark in the popularization of world music, which was and continues to be a primary passion (see what I did there?) of Gabriel.

Tasked with creating the soundtrack to Martin Scorsese’s “The Last Temptation of Christ”, he composed “Passion”, a work of monumental synthesis and ethnic origins. By manipulating African and Asian folk sources, Gabriel created a sort of sonic murale about Jesus' Passion.
