Andrew Lee Isaac Vowles, also known as Mushroom, is an English musician, known for being a founding member of the trip hop/abstract art collective Massive Attack, along with Robert Del Naja (3D), Adrian Thaws (Tricky) and Grantley Marshall (Daddy G).
Andrew Vowles was born on 10 November 1967 in Knowle West, Bristol, England, UK. He is a composer and actor, known for How I Live Now (2013), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and The Matrix (1999).
Deejays Daddy G, Andrew Vowles, musician and rapper Tricky, and graffiti artist-turned-rapper Robert Del Naja met as members of partying collective the Wild Bunch. One of the first homegrown soundsystems in the UK, the Wild Bunch became dominant on the Bristol club scene in the mid-1980s.
What ever happens to Mushroom (Andrew Vowles) from Massive Attack? Discussion. I know that after Mezzanine, Mushroom left the group, but I can't find a good source as to what he's been up to since then. Does anyone have any clue? I've been curious to see what he's done musically since then, if anything.
