Rusty Zinn (born April 3, 1970 in Long Beach, California, United States) is an American electric blues and reggae guitarist and singer-songwriter. Zinn released six albums between 1996 and 2009, on Black Top, Alligator, Bad Daddy, and 9 Above Records.
26 de nov. de 2018 · A harmonica battle that Zinn attended at the age of eighteen was promoted by Tom Mazzolini, who ran the famous San Francisco Blues festival. Featured were Snooky Pryor, Anson & the Rockets with Sam Myers, plus Rod Piazza & the Mighty Flyers. It was the first time Zinn heard another influential guitarist.
12 de nov. de 2011 · Although he started out as a sideman in the Bay Area for blues-based artists like Mark Hummel, Larry Taylor (Canned Heat) and Wilson, Zinn started singing in the ‘90s, probably in anticipation of a solo career. And his voice has only gotten stronger and more assured with each release.

Biography. Time after time, Oakland-based bluesman Rusty Zinn’s raw, burning guitar work and soulful vocals leave listeners open-mouthed in amazement. That is, until their feet start to move uncontrollably and lead them to the dance floor, as Zinn’s jumping blend of 1940s and 1950s West Coast swing/blues and gritty Chicago blues takes over.
