The band formed in early 1977, with a line-up of Blair Hamilton , Colin "Getty" Getgood (lead guitar) and the Cowan brothers Greg , Colin (drums) and Martin (rhythm guitar). According to Greg Cowan, their name derived from the fact that they were banned from five clubs in one week.

Colin Getgood AKA Getty - guitar. Martin Cowan - guitar. Colin Cowan - drums. l-to-r: Colin, Martin, Getty, Greg. Bio: Legendary Belfast punk group formed by the Cowan brothers who released singles on two of the north's most prominent labels, It Records and Good Vibrations.
The original line-up consisted of Blair Hamilton on vocals, Martin Cowan and Colin Getgood (better known as Getty) on guitar, Colin Cowan on drums and Greg Cowan on bass. Greg says, “We had to sack Blair after just three practices because his head kept turning red and he couldn’t sing”.
