Klymaxx is an American all-female pop / R&B band from Los Angeles, California. The band's classic lineup consisted of Bernadette Cooper, Lorena Porter Shelby, Cheryl Cooley, Robbin Grider, Lynn Malsby, and Joyce "Fenderella" Irby. Klymaxx is best known for their 1985 international hit "I Miss You".
Klymaxx's original members are (vocalist, drummer) Bernadette Cooper, (vocalist) Lorena Porter (Stewart), (guitarist) Cheryl Cooley, (keyboardists) Lynn Malsby, (keyboardists) Robbin Grider and Bassist/ vocalist, Joyce Irby, was added later after the band signed to Solar records.

The group were down to six members by the end of 1988 and by 1989 they had become just Cheryl Cooley, Lorena Porter and Robbin Grider. In 1990 they returned with 'The Maxx Is Back', including 'Good Love' and 'Don't Run Away'.
