Bloodbath formed in 1998 during one evening when friends Mikael Åkerfeldt, Anders Nyström, Jonas Renkse, and Dan Swanö had the idea to play death metal in the realm of Entombed mixed with some of the US Florida death metal scene bands.
Bloodbath is a Swedish death metal supergroup from Stockholm, formed in 1998. The band has released six full-length albums, two EPs and two DVDs depicting their performances at Wacken Open Air (in 2005) and Bloodstock Open Air (in 2010).
