Not full weeks; weekends. The group took just six days (give or take) to create Unknown Pleasures. Insane.

It was released in 1991 as five discs containing Unknown Pleasures, Closer, Still, Substance, and the October 1980 US Atmosphere single respectively. The set is popular in the audiophile community because it sourced its material from the ORIGINAL master tapes.
Hace 4 días · Granted, Joy Division wannabes, yet still, their 1st 2 albums (1980/1981) were very worthy. Beyond those initial 2, is the rest of their catalog worthy of pursuing. Note: I always felt ‘The Comsat Angels’ peak was their first 3 albums, yet continue to derive some surprise pleasures from the more “pop-moves” of the latter ones.
