The song concerns a guy who keeps thinking about this ‘younger girl.’ Once you see her, you forget everything you were about to tell her. She leaves you lost for words.

They were Eddie Brigati (vocals), Felix Cavaliere (keyboard, vocals), Gene Cornish (guitar) and Dino Danelli (drums). Felix and Eddie wrote most of the hits. Dino looked a lot like Paul McCartney, i.e. look at the picture.
