This is an episode list for The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.The series is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers.A 20 part micro-series focusing on each hero's backstory debuted on September 22, 2010 on Disney XD. The first season premiered on Disney XD in the United States on October 20, 2010. The second season premiered on April 1, 2012.
It was a four-issue limited series. An ongoing comic book series titled The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Adventures will debut in April 2012, alongside the Ultimate Spider-Man Adventures series. Christopher Yost will return as the main writer, with Adam Dekraker to serve as the comic's creative team, while Nuno Plati will provide artwork.
There is a contention that the The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes takes place in the same universe, after Nick Fury references that M.R.D. come and pick up Whirlwind in their specialized prisons. As the M.R.D. appeared in the MU-616 comic universe, this remains a rumor, although Christopher Yost did indicate in an online chat session that he intended them to be in the same universe.
