Cecilia Beaux (Filadelfia, 1 de mayo de 1855-Gloucester, Massachusetts, 17 de septiembre de 1942) fue una retratista estadounidense de la American Society. Recibió su formación en Filadelfia y Francia.
Eliza Cecilia Beaux (May 1, 1855 – September 17, 1942) was an American artist and the first woman to teach art at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
She completed her first medal-winning portrait in 1884. In 1888, after rejecting several marriage proposals, Beaux decided to devote herself to portraiture and studied in Europe for 19 months. Back in Philadelphia, Beaux painted prominent writers, politicians, and other artists.

Cecilia Beaux began as a commercial artist, making exacting sketches of fossils for a United States Geological Survey project and painting portraits on porcelain. Like many ambitious nineteenth-century artists, she honed her skills in Paris.

Cecilia Beaux was an American artist known for her deftly painted portraiture. Often compared to the works of John Singer Sargent, some of her best-known paintings include Sita and Sarita (1893) and Man with the Cat (Henry Sturgis Drinker) (1898).
