Shakespeare: The Animated Tales (1992-1994) is an Animated Series created by Dave Edwards and produced by S4C. It features animated versions of William Shakespeare ’s plays by Russian studio Soyuzmultfilm, each episode done in different styles of animation. In the United States, it ran on HBO with introductions by Robin Williams.

Abridged into 20-30 minutes, each animated feature captures the essence of the play in an entertaining, easy-to-understand way. A fantastic resource to accompany teaching of the play at primary or secondary level.
Mon, Dec 14, 1992. Viola and Sebastian are lookalike twins, separated by a shipwreck.
