The Pilgrimage ist wohl als Abkoppelung vom Wu Tang zu betrachten. Ein Alleinstehungsmerkmal, das Cappadonna hier vorlegt. Er ist alleine einen Weg gegangen und präsentiert hier das Ergebnis. Es ist schwach, aber es gibt einige interessante Lyrics. Musikalisch war Cappadonna schon mal besser. Klingt nach ultimativer Einsamkeit.
