Saint John’s High School has educated young men under the sponsorship of the Xaverian Brothers since 1898. St. John s Preparatory School, founded in 1907, is a college preparatory secondary school offering enrollment to more than 1,000 students in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, social studies, physical education, world languages, ministry, performing arts, and business and technology.
Primary. Urban. St John’s Preparatory School was founded in 1956 by Peter and Barbara Hickman at their Borrowdale property. It began as a small family school with 13 pupils. It was their desire to establish a school for boys which offered a sound system of education in an atmosphere conducive to the growth and development of each personality.
