At Bassaleg School, we achieve this through our Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) programme. Anchor 2. What our pupils say "I feel that there are lots of people to talk to in school and lots of people who have the time to listen. I think this is a school which really cares about its pupils."
The School Medical Officer offers a friendly approach to pupils in times of need and will refer directly to the relevant Head of Year when appropriate. To contact the Medical Room, please call 01633 892191 and ask for Mrs Compton, School Medical Officer. The Medical Room provides First Aid and also a quiet room for rest, when required.
Bassaleg School is a mixed 11-19 school to the north east of Newport. Currently, it has 1,749 pupils on roll with 405 in the sixth form. This is slightly lower than at the time of the last inspection, when there were 1,767 pupils in total including 502 in the sixth form. Pupils come mainly from six partner primary schools.
