Comedia romántica al servicio de Adam Sandler y Drew Barrymore, ambos involucrados en su producción: los dos habían trabajado ya juntos en un film del género, El chico ideal. El planteamiento recuerda a Atrapado en el tiempo, donde también se daba una situación que obligaba al protagonista a recapacitar para vivir el amor con generosidad.
La pareja formada por Adam Sandler y Drew Barrymore posee química. Ya lo demostraron en su primera colaboración “El chico ideal” (Frank Coraci, 1998). Ambos están realmente bien en pantalla y traspasan espontaneidad.
