7 de may. de 2022 · Setup fully hosted email account on dreamhost side. gmail side settings->accounts and import. Under Send mail as click Add another email address and follow through the steps. Dreamhost SMTP server is smtp.dreamhost.com with ssl port 465 . gmail side settings->accounts and import. Under Check mail from other accounts click Add mail account.
1 de may. de 2020 · Dreamhost webmail has been terrible for me so far, and it's just been a day and a half *Now this is my first foray into running a business and dealing with domains, hosting, and email. So please let me know if this is more "human error" related.
2 de nov. de 2021 · Dreamhost Email Issues. Anyone else having massive problems with their Dreamhost hosted email? We have been having problems for almost a month now it seems. We have been having a lot of sync issues while trying to use Outlook. We have had part of a mailbox go missing and they couldn't restore it. We are being killed with phishing/spam.
8 de jun. de 2024 · Dreamhost apparently does not permit you to have a fully hosted email account that also allows forwarding (I believe they used it, but stopped several years ago). I finally came up with a workaround that works perfectly and allows you to instantly receive your Dreamhost account emails and also use your Dreamhost email account as your Send Mail From account as well.
On this screen, SMTP server should be: smtp.dreamhost.com, with a port of 465. Username is your fully hosted email you created, so in my example: gmail@smith.com. Also enter the password you created for that account. Make sure "Secured connection using SSL" is selected. And then click Add Account, and you're done!
13 de dic. de 2020 · And while I generally like DreamHost as a super cheap host, I like them because they're "good enough", not because they're exceptional. And when you're dealing with e-mail delivery, you need that to be exceptional. I can't imagine that DreamHost has exceptional e-mail delivery, especially considering how picky GMail can be with spam these days.

7 de feb. de 2022 · I need to first disable G Suite Legacy account from the domain, and then enable the new mailboxes. There should be minimal disruption, but it will need attention. Then there's the issue of moving existing email in the G Suite Legacy accounts to the new Mailbox. DreamHost has documentation on how to do this, but it may require me to do it or ...
