Welbeck Abbey is an English mansion situated in the village of Welbeck, which is within the civil parish of Norton, Cuckney, Holbeck and Welbeck, in the Bassetlaw District of Nottinghamshire.

From its foundations as a monastery in 1153, it became a Cavalier residence before its later role as the country seat to a succession of Dukes of Portland.

Welbeck Abbey (listed grade I), a stone-built L-shaped building, stands in the centre of the site, west of Shrubbery Lake. The entrance front to the west is of two storeys, with three-storey towers at each end and a central four-storey pedimented entrance with a Baroque-style porte-cochere.
Take a guided tour of Welbeck Abbey and see six grand State Rooms that date back to the 18th century. Each room is decorated with some of the finest objects and artworks from The Portland Collection.
Great guided tour round Welbeck Abbey. Lots of history re the Cavendish and Portland dynasties. Still a family home set in wonderful grounds. Highly recommended
