Zao to kontynent znajdujący się na północny-wschód od Mainlandu i na wschód od Yalahar. Został odkryty podczas eksploracji rzek wodnych pod Kazordoon. Dowódcą parostatku, który odkrył system jaskiń bogatych w rzadkie rudy metalu, a na dodatek mających kontakt z powierzchnią był Thorgrin.
Zao é um continente onde Vengoth, Farmine, Zao Orc Fortress e Lizards estão localizados, à leste de Yalahar e ao norte de Edron. Toda a história de Zao não é bem conhecida. Lizards e Dragões ou sempre viveram no continente ou chegaram por algum meio.

After making peace with the Cavemen and the Orcs for Ongulf, you now have to contact the Lizards, the real rulers of Zao. After accepting the mission from Ongulf, go to the Dragonblaze Peaks and find a rope-hole where you have to go up and follow the way around the mountain (there is only one way).
