This card's name is a portmanteau of wana (罠, "trap") and "bee", hence its Trap Card -supporting effect. It can also be a play on "wannabe". Note that while "罠" does appear as a base text on the symbol for Trap Cards, they are still referred to in the OCG as torappu (トラップ) as shown on the ruby text above "罠".
