This is a list of books based on the British children's television series Tugs. Starting from 1989 to 1992, books based on the series were released in the United Kingdom, Australia and Japan and by different publishers and authors.

Ten picture books were made, all based on the TUGS episodes. They were adapted from the original scripts by Penny Morris. Some of them contain deleted scenes not present in the episode itself.

Tugs (stylised as TUGS) is a British television series produced by Tugs Ltd., for Television South (TVS) and Clearwater Features Ltd. and first broadcast on ITV from 4 April to 27 June 1989.
Set in the Interwar period, Tugs is about the adventures of two rival anthropomorphised tugboat fleets: the honourable & hardworking Star Tugs, managed by Captain Star (who recounts the stories), and the devious & deceitful Z-Stacks, managed by Captain Zero.
