En inglés, la voz pasiva está compuesta por dos elementos principales: la forma correspondiente del verbo ‘to be’ seguida por el participio pasado. Cambiar a voz pasiva en inglés hará que tus textos sean más formales. En cambio, si utilizas la voz activa, tus escritos o discursos serán más fáciles de entender.

Grammar explanation. We use the passive voice to change the focus of the sentence. My bike was stolen. (passive – focus on my bike) Someone stole my bike. (active – focus on someone) We often use the passive: when we prefer not to mention who or what does the action (for example, it's not known, it's obvious or we don't want to say)

The active voice is the typical word order. We put the subject (the topic or the theme) first. The subject is the ‘doer’ or agent of the verb: Edward Barnes designed these houses in the 1880s. (active) In the passive, the person or thing that the action was done to becomes the topic or theme.

Pero cuando queremos dar más importancia a la acción y no a quien la ha realizado, utilizamos la voz pasiva. Ejemplos: La voz activa. He ate all of the cookies. (Comió todas las galletas.) La voz pasiva.
30 de jun. de 2020 · La voz pasiva da importancia al objeto de la oración, es decir, a quien RECIBE la acción y no a quién la realiza. Ejemplo: I broke the vase – Rompí el jarrón. The vase was broken – El jarrón se rompió. Es bastante más útil para el que lo rompe decir que ‘el jarrón se rompió’ a decir ‘yo rompí el jarrón’, ¿no crees?
