This marked the very first time the Roblox icon featured a letter from the logo other than "R". While this logo was mostly replaced in 2018, it was used as the icon for Roblox Player until 2019, and was also used for the Roblox app for Windows 10 until 2022.
14 de nov. de 2023 · Originally, the first Roblox logo donned various colors, similar to the DynaBlocks color scheme. The text was presented in a shadowed, sans-serif title case, each letter using a different color. It also mimicked the aesthetic of Google’s earlier designs too closely, which likely quelled its staying power.
As good as the classic logo is for the audience Roblox had at the time it very much looks like a "kids game" logo, which is really limiting, unfortunately it made sense to move away from.
2 de dic. de 2022 · Roblox logo: 2005. The logo’s first major redesign was also one of its wildest. Just look at that striking red outline and the little accent over the ‘o’. Sure, it’s painfully mid-2000s, but it’s so distinct and retro by today’s standards that you can’t help but appreciate it.
