Professor Grant Horner’s academic specialty is the literature, theology and philosophy of the Renaissance and Reformation, with primary concentration in Milton, Shakespeare, Erasmus, Luther, Calvin and late sixteenth and seventeenth century intellectual and cultural history.

GRANT HORNER is a senior rank Full Professor of Humanities at The Master’s University, just north of Los Angeles, where he specializes in the Renaissance, Reformation Historical Theology, Art History, and Classics.
Where some have associated classical education exclusively with Europe, Horner points to a Mediterranean origin, identifying key church fathers who initiated the movement – like Athanasius, Tertullian, and the formidable Augustine.

William George Horner (1786-1837) fou un professor i matemàtic aficionat anglès, conegut per haver estat l'inventor del zoòtrop sota el nom de Daedaleum. Una gran aportació que va realitzar va ser l'anomenat mètode de Horner.
