Hi everyone, this is a tutorial on How to install HD pack for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver on Retroarch with the Flycast core and my settings.
This version of Flycast is meant for Windows PC, but there are builds covering several platforms (Android, Linux, Mac, iOS, Switch, Xbox) available at the builds page. If you plan to use the Boxart option instead of a simple list, you can add your own boxart or fetch it automatically.
With the advent of emulators being capable of extracting textures, I finally had the means to upgrade Soul Reaver to higher resolution graphics. This texture pack requires Flycast, a Dreamcast emulator, capable of extracting and loading textures externally, which enables anyone to mod Dreamcast games.

After discovering the graphic enhancement the Dreamcast version + HD texture pack provides vs the good old PSX release, I have been trying to make the Dreamcast version of Soul Reaver 1 work on RetroArch, and it always crashes after the Crystal Dynamics splash screen/video.
The zip file comes bundled with the latest Flycast emulator release, the remastered texture pack and the newly recreated high res manual. Be aware you might need a dedicated graphics card to run this mod properly. You will also need a digital Dreamcast version of Soul Reaver which is NOT included in the download.
