16 de oct. de 2020 · Building of the Day: Marcel Breuer Buildings at Bronx Community College – 10.16.2020. In 1956, Marcel Breuer was asked to develop a master plan for New York University’s “Uptown” campus in the Bronx overlooking the Harlem River. From 1959 to 1970, five buildings were constructed to Breuer’s designs.

Completed in 1961, Begrisch Hall stands in the southwest section of the campus of Bronx Community College, located in University Heights. This remarkable trapezoidal structure was designed by Marcel Breuer, one of the midtwentieth century’s leading architects.
