The contest is to sell the most ice cream before the first winter snowflake hits the ground. At first, team TBFDI is indecisive. Needle picks up Ice Cube in order to cool their potential ice cream down, smashing her to bits. At first, the team mourns Ice Cube's shattering, but they immediately become indifferent to it.
So, I recently rewatched all of BFDI in one sitting, and I realized that Ice Cube basically stopped getting new lines by like episode 5. She just reuses the same ones over and over, with the other character's dialog written around what she can say.
Ice Cube is an 8 × 9 × 11 cube of ice. Like all ice cubes, she easily melts and shatters if hit hard enough. She's also very cold, which has made her a popular candidate to cool down the TLC.
