William Edmonstone, cuarto baronet Edmonstone CB (29 de enero de 1810 - 18 de febrero de 1888), también 14° Señor de Duntreath, fue un comandante naval escocés cortesano y político. Sir William Edmonstone, 1st of Duntreath, is styled of Culloden, lands near Inverness acquired from the Setons, a further indication of their relationship. In 1425 he married the Princess Mary, sister of James I and widow of the Earl of Angus, as her fourth husband.
William’s son Sir James Edmonstone (1544-1618), 6 th Laird of Duntreath, added an impressive range of buildings around a central courtyard. This Sir James had unwisely participated in an idle conversation about the possibility of kidnapping King James VI.
