Zhao Ziyang (en chino tradicional, 趙紫陽; en chino simplificado, 赵紫阳; pinyin, Zhào Zǐyáng; Wade-Giles, Chao Tzu-yang, nacido como Zhao Xiuye, Henan, 17 de octubre de 1919-Pekín, 17 de enero de 2005) fue un político de la República Popular China.
Zhao Ziyang (Chinese: 赵紫阳; pronounced [ʈʂâʊ tsɹ̩̀.jǎŋ], 17 October 1919 – 17 January 2005) was a Chinese politician. He was the premier of China from 1980 to 1987, vice chairman of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from 1981 to 1982, and CCP general secretary from 1987 to 1989.

Zhao Ziyang was the premier of China (1980–87) and general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party (1987–89). Born into a landlord family in Henan province, Zhao joined the Young Communist League in 1932 and became a member of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 1938.
