Patrick Allen McLoughlin, Baron McLoughlin, CH, PC (born 30 November 1957) is a British politician. A member of the Conservative Party, he first became the Member of Parliament (MP) for West Derbyshire following the 1986 by-election.
Sir Patrick McLoughlin was appointed Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on 14 July 2016. He was elected the Conservative MP for Derbyshire Dales in 2010.

30 de oct. de 2019 · The former Transport Secretary and Conservative Party chairman announced his decision to step down after 33 years in Parliament. He represented the "beautiful constituency" of Derbyshire Dales under five prime ministers and served as chief whip and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
Lord McLoughlin is a Conservative peer and former MP for West Derbyshire and Derbyshire Dales. He has held various government and opposition posts, including Transport Secretary, Chief Whip and Party Chair.
26 de may. de 2020 · The former Conservative MP and Cabinet minister has been appointed by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as Chair of the BTA for three years. He will receive £40,000 per annum and has declared his political activity in the last five years.
As Transport Secretary he oversaw key investments and work programmes, including the beginning of the Road Investment Strategy in 2014 and announcing Northern and TransPennine Express as winners of the rail franchises for the North in 2015. He took his seat in the House of Lords in 2020.
