Percival James Patterson conocido como P. J. Patterson ( Parroquia de Hanover, 10 de abril de 1935) es un político jamaicano. Primer ministro desde 1992 hasta 2006, siendo el primer afrodescendiente en ocupar dicho cargo de la historia de Jamaica.
Percival Noel James Patterson, ON, OCC, KC (born 10 April 1935), popularly known as P.J. Patterson, is a Jamaican former politician who served as the sixth Prime Minister of Jamaica from 1992 to 2006. He served in office for 14 years, making him the longest-serving prime minister in Jamaica's history.
As its President, he presided at the first political address given in the Caribbean by the late Dr. Eric Williams, founder of Trinidad and Tobago’s People’s National Movement. In 1955, Mr. Patterson took part in a UWI project, which brought him into contact with several prominent members of the People’s National Party (PNP).
