Lia Nici-Townend (born 1 August 1969) is a British Conservative Party politician. She was Member of Parliament (MP) for Great Grimsby since the 2019 general election before losing her seat in 2024. She served as an Assistant Government Whip in the Truss government from September to October 2022.

About Lia. Tweet. Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and to learn a little more about me! I was born at the old Grimsby Maternity Hospital. My dad, a professional musician and chef, became a British citizen in the late 1960s and with my mum, who was in the local police force, set up Aldo's, the first Italian restaurant in the area.
