Sylvia Jung Luke (née Chang, born December 15, 1967) is an American attorney and politician who is serving as the 16th lieutenant governor of Hawaii. She served as a member of the Hawaii House of Representatives for 24 years, from 1998 until her election as lieutenant governor in 2022.
Sylvia was known as a budget hawk - watching how our tax dollars got spent, and avoiding any broad-based tax increases. She’s advocated for increasing the minimum wage and reducing government’s burden on working families and those living paycheck to paycheck.
