Jejomar "Jojo" Cabauatan Binay Sr. (born Jesus Jose Cabauatan Binay; November 11, 1942) is a Filipino lawyer and politician who served as the 13th vice president of the Philippines from 2010 to 2016, under President Benigno Aquino III.

With the conversion of Makati into a highly-urbanised city in 1995 by virtue of the Republic Act 7854, Mayor Binay became the first Chief Executive of the City Government of Makati. Within a span of twenty years, Makati underwent a dramatic transformation under the Binay administration.
