Jared Cain O'Mara (born 15 November 1981) is a British convicted fraudster and former Labour politician who was Member of Parliament (MP) for Sheffield Hallam from 2017 to 2019. Elected at the 2017 general election for the Labour Party, O'Mara unexpectedly won the seat from former Liberal Democrat Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.
Jared O'Mara, who ousted Nick Clegg in 2017, was jailed for six counts of fraud after being accused of submitting fake expense claims. The former Labour MP, who claimed to have autism, faced a string of controversies and scandals during his short stint in Westminster.
