John Herndon "Johnny" Mercer (18 de noviembre de 1909-25 de junio de 1976) fue un letrista, compositor de canciones y cantante estadounidense. Mercer moved to New York in 1928, when he was 19. The music he loved, jazz and blues, was booming in Harlem and Broadway was bursting with musicals and revues from George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and Irving Berlin. Vaudeville, though beginning to fade, was still a strong musical presence.
John Luther Mercer (born 17 August 1981) is a former British Conservative Party politician and former British Army officer who had served as Minister of State for Veterans’ Affairs since October 2022, having previously held the post from July to September 2022.
