Flash and the Pan fue un grupo musical australiano encuadrable entre el Synth pop y la New Wave. Fue esencialmente un proyecto de estudio, iniciado por los músicos Harry Vanda y George Young (hermano de Angus y Malcolm Young, del grupo AC/DC). Ambos procedían del grupo The Easybeats.
Flash and the Pan was formed by Harry Vanda and George Young in mid-1976 in Sydney, Australia. It was initially a studio-only pop rock band, with both members on guitar, keyboards and vocals.
