David Alexander Wolf (born August 23, 1956) is an American astronaut, medical doctor and electrical engineer. Wolf has been to space four times. Three of his spaceflights were short-duration Space Shuttle missions, the first of which was STS-58 in 1993, and his most recent spaceflight was STS-127 in 2009.

5 de jun. de 2013 · David Wolf, a veteran of five space shuttle flights and a long-duration mission on the Russian Space Station Mir, left NASA in 2013 to return to private industry. He was inducted into the Space Foundation’s Space Technology Hall of Fame for his work in developing the bioreactor.
Wolf became a NASA astronaut in 1991 and flew as a crewmember onboard STS-58, a medical research mission. When tapped for the NASA-6 increment on Mir, Wolf was already in Russia, training as the backup to Wendy Lawrence.
