Viktor Chukarin was a Soviet gymnast who won 11 Olympic medals, including two all-around titles, in 1952 and 1956. He was also a World Champion in 1954 and a coach at the L’viv Institute of Physical Culture.

At age 30, Chukarin dominated the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki. He led the Soviet Union to its first Olympic team title and won golds in the all-around, pommel horse and vault. He also won silvers on rings and parallel bars.
