Mathew John Baynton (born 18 November 1980) is an English actor, comedian, musician and writer. He is best known as a member of the Them There collective in which he wrote and starred in shows including Horrible Histories, Yonderland and Ghosts.

Ghosts is a TV series about a group of spirits haunting a country house inherited by a young couple who want to turn it into a hotel. Mathew Baynton stars as Thomas Thorne, one of the ghosts, and also co-created the show with Jim Howick and Laurence Rickard.
