What Really Happened to the Class of '65? is an American anthology drama television series produced and aired in 1977–1978, created by Tony Bill. The series was inspired by the bestselling book What Really Happened to the Class of '65? by David Wallechinsky and Michael Medved .
With Tony Bill, Jack Ging, Jessica Walter, Laurie Prange. Sam Ashley, a graduate of 1965 class of Bret Harte High School, who was now a teacher at the school, served as the narrator describing what had happened to his fellow graduates in the decade since they had graduated.
A quasi-sequel written solely by Wallechinsky, Midterm Report Class of '65 (1986), also published as Class Reunion '65: Tales of an American Generation (1987), takes up the story twenty years after graduation. This time Wallechinsky drew on interviews with 1965 high school graduates nationwide.
