Ulf or Wulf (fl. 1067 – 1087) was a son of Harold Godwinson, King of England. He was captured during the course of the Norman conquest of England, and imprisoned in Normandy, being released only at the death of William the Conqueror.
Harold was a son of Godwin (c. 1001 –1053), the powerful earl of Wessex, and of Gytha Thorkelsdóttir, whose brother Ulf the Earl was married to Estrid Svendsdatter (c. 1015/1016), the daughter of King Sweyn Forkbeard (died 1014) and sister of King Cnut the Great of England and Denmark.
15 de jul. de 2014 · Harold’s sons Godwin, Edmund and Magnus went to Dublin after the Conquest. They returned in 1068 with their swords in their hands and a force of Norse mercenaries from the Kingdom of Dublin.
15 de mar. de 2015 · The youngest son, Ulf, was probably from this marriage, but some historians think he was the twin brother of Harold from his father’s second marriage to Ealdgyth, sister of Edwin and Morcar and (uncrowned) Queen of England.

Some historians believe that Ulf may have been a full brother of Harold, whose mother was Ealdgyth of Mercia, and if so, chronology means they would probably have been twins: but there is no clear evidence to confirm the identity of Ulf's mother, and she may have been Edith Swan-neck.
