Edwin ap Hywel (died c. 954) was a 10th-century king of Deheubarth in Wales of the High Middle Ages. One of three sons of Hywel Dda, he divided his father's realm with his brothers Rhodri and Owain according to Welsh law. The sons of Idwal were able to reclaim Gwynedd for its traditional dynasty, however.

We believe it was a sister of Aelfgar who had been married to Hywel ap Edwin of Deheubarth, and a daughter of Aelfgar that Gruffudd married, and who was later taken to wife by Harold Godwinson.

HYWEL ab EDWIN (died 1044), king of Deheubarth. son of Edwin ab Einion and great-grandson of Hywel Dda. When, in 1033, the usurper, Rhydderch ap Iestyn died, Hywel and his brother Maredudd, as senior heirs of Hywel Dda, became joint kings of Deheubarth.

Edwin is described in some pedigrees as great-great-grandson of Hywel Dda; his mother was Ethelfleda, daughter of Edwin, king of Mercia. He married Iwerydd, sister of Bleddyn ap Cynfyn, and by her had three sons, Owain, Uchdryd, and Hywel.
