The Very Best of Prince is a greatest hits album by American recording artist Prince. It was released on July 31, 2001, by Warner Bros. Records. The album contains most of his commercially successful singles from 1979 to 1991 including the US number 1s "When Doves Cry", "Let's Go Crazy", "Kiss" and "Cream".
Both Wendy & Lisa played a significant role in probably the most commercially successful period of Prince’s career. The two artists were featured heavily in the motion picture Purple Rain. Both Wendy Melvin and Lisa Coleman would continue to work together after Prince broke up The Revolution and hired new musicians for his future projects.
Wendy & Lisa (briefly known as Girl Bros.) is a music duo consisting of Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman. They began working with Prince in the early 1980s and were part of his band the Revolution, before branching out on their own and releasing their eponymous debut studio album in 1987.
