Cathy Jordan (born in Scramogue, County Roscommon in 1972) is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bodhran, bones and bouzouki. She has been the lead vocalist for the traditional Irish music band Dervish since 1991, and is a solo performer as well.
Cathy Jordan is a versatile and acclaimed performer of traditional and contemporary folk music. She is the lead singer of Dervish and has released a new album with Feargal Murray, Storybook, featuring the songs of Brendan Graham.
About Cathy. Roscommon born Cathy Jordan has been a professional singer with traditional group Dervish for nearly 30 years. She is a self-taught guitar, bouzouki, bodhrán and bones player. She has led Dervish as front woman through thousands of concerts in hundreds of cities in nearly 40 countries and has 18 albums under her belt.
