Ryan Sinn is the bassist for The Distillers. He currently resides in San Diego, California. Sinn joined The Distillers after their first album. At the time he only played guitar, but he learned the bass parts on their previous album in four days and was asked to join the band after he auditioned. He appeared on the group's second and third albums.

Firmado con Epitaph, la banda emitió su debut homónimo en abril de 2000. A finales de año, Kim Chi había dejado el grupo para unirse a Exene Cervenka en su banda, The Original Sinners.
