The stark but beautiful Australian Outback is the setting of this intense sci-fi thriller about eerie events plaguing the inhabitants of a farming community. Ex-con Eddie returns home after prison and learns that the family farm is possessed by evil.
Encounter at Raven's Gate is another classic 'unknown' Ozploitation flick (by an equally unknown director, Rolf de Heer) that has sadly been all but lost to the ravages of time. It had an extremely short run locally, a one-off DVD release, then slipping quietly into sci-fi/ arthouse obscurity.
