Jim Dale MBE (born James Smith; 15 August 1935) is a British actor, composer, director, narrator, singer and songwriter. In the United Kingdom he is known as a pop singer of the 1950s who became a leading actor at the National Theatre.

6 de may. de 2007 · Meet Jim Dale indeed proves to be something of a lost classic of Psychedelia, attested to by his beautiful performance of 'Georgy Girl' and such original masterpieces as 'Miss Linda Grey' and 'Dick-A-Dum-Dum' that would give a hit to (ahem!)
Dale's lyrics (and his choice of songs to cover) show a fascination with people and their quirks. The subjects take in the young and the old, the potty and the poetic, male and female, working-class bridegrooms and faded movie queens.
