Beate "Ati" Gropius Johansen (1926 — September 7, 2014) was a German-born graphic designer, artist, teacher, and illustrator. Her adoptive parents were Modernist architect Walter Gropius and his second wife Ise Frank Gropius, who was Ati's biological aunt.

Ati Gropius Johansen (* 1926 in Wiesbaden als Beate Forberg,; † 7. September 2014 in Wellfleet, Massachusetts) war eine deutsche Illustratorin und Kunstlehrerin. Sie war die Nichte von Ise Frank und wurde nach deren Tod von Walter und Ise Gropius adoptiert.
Ati Gropius Forberg Johansen was an educator, designer, and illustrator. She was adopted at the age of nine by Bauhaus architect and founder Walter Gropius and his wife Ilse Frank. The family moved to the U.S. from Germany in 1937 to flee the Nazi regime.

In 1943, at the age of 16, her father sent her to Black Mountain College because of the art school’s progressive education.
