Juuri ennen levyn julkaisua Finntroll kohtasi toisen onnettomuuden, kun kitaristi Teemu Raimoranta kuoli tapaturmaisesti 16. maaliskuuta 2003 vain 25-vuotiaana pudotessaan päihtyneenä alas Helsingin Pitkältäsillalta. Finntrollin jäsenille Raimorannan kuolema oli musertava ja he harkitsivat jopa yhtyeen lopettamista.
