The 2008 Country Music Association Awards, 42nd Annual Ceremony, was held on November 12, 2008, at the Sommet Center (later the Bridgestone Arena) in Nashville, Tennessee and was hosted by CMA Award winners Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

The 42nd annual Country Music Association Awards were held November 12, 2008 in Nashville and were broadcast on ABC. Kenny Chesney had the most nominations with seven, but only won one award - his fourth Entertainer of the Year.
